We offer a dynamic, Gospel-centered children's and family ministry that walks alongside parents to disciple and mentor children to be followers of Jesus Christ, and draws the church family into a deeper relationship with God and each other.
0-1 Baby Nursery
Nursery care is available through the entirety of both services.
2-3 Years Old Toddlers
Story, song, and play-based learning and care available for the entirety of both services.
4-5 Years Preschool/Kindergarten
Story, song, and play-based learning and care available for the entirety of both services.
JumpStart- 1st through 5th grades
JumpStart is a fun, encouraging time for our 1st-5th graders to learn more about Jesus and what it looks like to be his disciples.
All 1st-5th graders are invited to worship alongside the church family at the beginning of the service, and will be excused to JumpStart during our “Turn and Greet” time before the service. They will return back to the service during the closing song.
Highway 345 and Shining Stars
All 3-5th grade boys are invited to join in monthly adventures with our Hwy 345 club! The 3rd-5th grade girls are Shining Stars and gather for fun and activities once a month!
Barnstormers
BarnStormers is our Sunday evening kids’ program that runs 5:00-6:30 pm concurrently with our Discipleship Groups and Alpha. Join us for dinner, a lesson, and fun activities!
Special Events
We have lots of fun Children’s and Family Ministry events going on throughout the year! Check our calendar for events like the Egg Hunt, VBS, Sunday Funday, Harvest Carnival, Christmas Program, and more!
Calvin!
Calvin the Forgetful Sheep is our fun and friendly mascot that helps kids get excited about their Bible learning and their experience at church!
Questions
When you arrive at church, please come to The Barn to sign your child in at the Welcome Station. Each child and guardian will receive a tag with matching numbers. Babies and children ages 0-5 can then go to the nursery or preschool, while elementary age children join the church family for the beginning of the Worship Service.
Before the Pastor starts his teaching, he will excuse the kids with a Children’s Ministry leader to join us for JumpStart, our children’s church program for those in kindergarten through 5th grade. The JumpStart kids will return to the service in time for the closing song and to participate in communion, which happens on the first Sunday of the month.
If we have any concerns that need your attention during the service, your child’s number will come up on the display screen at the front of the sanctuary.
If you have a child with a special need or disability, we would love to provide them with a Buddy. Please contact Joy at joy@jvillechurch.org to sign up in advance for a Buddy!
We would love to have you serve alongside us in Children's Ministry. We need both helpers (teens and adults who love Jesus, kids, and pass a background check), and lead teachers (church members who love Jesus, kids and pass a background check). If you would be willing to serve in either of these rolls, please fill out the volunteer form and a background check.
