After several years of prayer and careful consideration, the First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville, Oregon, decided that in order to remain biblically faithful, we would initiate a denominational transfer of our church to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC).
The settlement agreement to transfer from the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) to the EPC was negotiated by our church with the officials of the PCUSA's Presbytery of the Cascades. At all times during this process, the Presbytery of the Cascades treated the First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville with the utmost respect and as brothers and sisters in Christ. They worked diligently with our church to reach an extremely fair and amicable agreement, focusing at all times on the goal of remaining united in our Lord, Jesus Christ. For this, the First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville would like to extend its deepest gratitude and sincerest appreciation to the Presbytery of the Cascades of the PCUSA. |
